It really really is! Hahaha! Saturday we went to the Zoo again, this time Kevin had to go into work, as a main back-up server was down, and he needed to go in to reset it, and make sure everything was inline to work out. The boys and I didn't just want to sit at home so he dropped us at the Zoo on his way. By the time we made it the 25 yards or so from the car to the entry Michael had drips of sweat rolling down his face at 10:30 in the morning! We spent some time outside, and it was a breezy day with lots of shade, but we quickly explored all of the air conditioned buildings. I think next time we'll go to the children’s Zoo and let them play in the fountains. Visit Zoo 6-24-06 for pictures.
Baylor has hired a replacement for Kevin's partner! This is GOOD news for us! Kevin will be keeping in charge of all of the Mac's and most of the servers on an offsite research facility as well as keeping on top of many PC needs and helping train the new guy. No rest for the weary... He's doing better (as far as I can tell) and it's a relief to be knowing there will be someone else to help soon. His yearly review is soon, and he'll be proposing what he's been doing and what the new system and expectations will be once the new guy gets settled, please pray for him that this meeting will go well.
As of yet we do not have any new downstairs neighbors. This has been nice, but we also want the boys to keep calm and know that they need to be respectful for when a new neighbor does come along. We were hoping to try to move into our first house this summer, but with the new burden at work this looks like it may just be too much for now, so for know we think we'll just resign our lease. Who wants to move in the dead of Houston summer heat anyway right? I keep trying to convince myself...
Kevin seems to be doing OK in the health department, he's remembering to take his meds, and things seem to be working out for now. Thanks to anyone who’s kept him in their prayers, I'm so happy to have him healthy for now.
